The management of dredged sediments is a significant issue in the world. Every year, millions of cubic meters are dredged for the maintenance of canals and harbors. Moreover, for many decades, waterways have been exposed to a wide variety of contaminants. The aim of I2SM is to get together academics, professional figures and public agencies involved in sediment issues to review recent advances on sediment management research and engineering aspects. This symposium is organized by Université de Sherbrooke and Mines Douai.
